In a world that is more than ever germ free, consumer friendly, and comfortable, we nevertheless seem to long deeply for nature. Lavender and lemongrass scent our detergents; floral prints decorate our napkins; and faux fur lines our clothing. I aim to make sense of this environment by transforming and re-making its realities. Using materials normally discarded, forgotten, or overlooked, I create works that give the materials a new identity and reflect on our relationship with material culture and the natural world.
